Affiliate disclosure

ScoutSpecs is a participant in the Amazon Associates programmes of the stores it links to. As an Amazon Associate, ScoutSpecs earns from qualifying purchases.

What that means

When you follow a link from this site to Amazon and buy something within the window Amazon allows, Amazon pays ScoutSpecs a percentage of the sale. You pay the same price as anyone who typed the address by hand. The commission comes out of Amazon's margin, not yours.

Which stores

• Amazon United States (www.amazon.com)
• Amazon United Kingdom (www.amazon.co.uk)
• Amazon Germany (www.amazon.de)
• Amazon France (www.amazon.fr)
• Amazon Italy (www.amazon.it)
• Amazon Spain (www.amazon.es)
• Amazon Canada (www.amazon.ca)

What it does not change

Nothing on the site is ranked, recommended or scored for commercial reasons. The catalogue is written from published reviews, every part gets the same kind of link, and the tools pick parts by score, price and compatibility alone. There are no sponsored placements. If that ever changes, this page will say so first.

Prices

Every part on ScoutSpecs has a typical price, rounded, and the tools work on those. A price marked Amazon US beside a buy button is ScoutPrices' reading of that listing, with the day it was read; it is not a live quote. The price on the Amazon page at the moment you buy is the only one that applies.
